ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The workshop will focus on each participant’s individual path toward developing their own photographic practice. The goal is to move forward from wherever one starts. The programme includes lectures, one-to-one conversations, and assignments over three engaging and intensive days.

The core of the workshop is the review and discussion of the participants’ own images, produced during the workshop. All feedback will be tailored to the individual level of each participant, whether beginner or advanced.

Key themes include:

  • Developing a photographic project

  • Selecting images for a portfolio

  • Presenting one’s own work

This is not a technical workshop, but if participants require guidance on camera functions and controls, this will be accommodated.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The workshop fee is NOK 7,000, including lunch each day. A deposit of NOK 2,000 must be paid shortly after registration as confirmation of your place. The deposit is refundable only if the workshop is cancelled.

If you wish to work with film, developing chemicals are included in the fee. Participants must bring their own film and negative sleeves. Printing on photographic paper will not be part of the workshop.

The workshop begins on Thursday, 26 February, with teaching from 18:00–21:00, and concludes on Sunday, 1 March at 14:00.
Teaching starts at 09:30 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each day beginning with a review of participants’ images. There will also be substantial input and daily practical work. Sessions are expected to conclude around 19:00 on Friday and Saturday.

Further programme details will be shared after registration.
